The obvious answer is yes… Or is it? If you read everything that were ever written about carpentry, would that make you a carpenter? What does it take for You to learn something. No doubt about it, there is a lot of good information on hypnosis out there (and an equal amount of bad), but in the end it is all just other people opnions and you can’t really use it for anything. You have to experience it for yourself. Hypnosis is a performance art, so you will NEVER get enough information on it if you do not start practising.
When is the best time to start doing this?
Now, you could argue that you need some basic knowledge so you don’t end up hurting other people. As long as you do hypnosis with a positive intend (H+) you will be safe as long as you stay away from regression type therapy. So the answer is still: NOW is the time to start practising. Learning hypnosis is just like learning to playing Poker. It takes you 5 minuttes to learn the basics and a lifetime to master.
Books are actually on a very low bandwith when you consider the skills involved in hypnosis. Hypnosis is about expressing language in a way that influnces the mind. Just taking a step up to listening to audio or watching videos is a great improvement. But at some point I will recommend you to go to a live training, where you can get instant feedback from like minded.
But start at the level you are comfortable with and work your way up.
