As a part of the “new frontier” in the UK police, officers are encouraged to sign up to a hypnosis course. The course is with no other than Tom Silver, who is better known as the ‘celebrity hypnotherapist’ on American talk shows.
The article, that was brought in the Telegraph thursday, made UK hypnotherapist Adam Eason cringe his feet:
“This should be a massive step forward, a way of showing the true efficacy of hypnosis and hypnotherapy… instead we get soudbites of inaccuracies and petty nuances likely to have people questioning why on earth it is being done.”
Silver once appeared on Ricki Lake, where he gave a woman an “orgasmic handshake”. I have to agree with Adam on this. Why on earth would the police force call in some celebrity hypnotist, when UK is full or REALLY skill hypnotherapists.
